taslogo"Glueboard trap" means a device that uses an adhesive substance to entrap an animal.

Glue traps are made from natural or synthetic adhesive applied to cardboard or similar material. Bait can be placed in the center or a scent may be added to the adhesive. Glue board traps are used primarily for rodent control indoors.


Below is the section (high lighted) of the Animal Welfare Act 1993 in Tasmania that pertains to the use of Glueboards for Rodent Management.

During the last week of July 2011, AQIS released Meat Notice 2011-05 - "Cessation of AQIS assessment (acceptance) of chemicals (hazardous substances) used in export meat industry".  This Meat Notice was effective from 01/07/2011.
